We are looking for new scoop staff for two positions:
- Our pop up shop in Kalkbay
- Our Cape Town market stalls
For Kalkbay:
- Shifts are from 11.00-18.00, in Kalkbay
- You must be able to work 3-5 shifts a week, between Wednesday and Sunday
- We need someone for the month of March, but we might extend the pop up shop period
- Serve customers ice cream from a scoop counter (cones and bowls) and answer their questions about the product
- Learn about and understand ice cream, fruits and other ingredients
- Be responsible for our shop (opening, closing, etc.)
For Cape Town stalls:
- Shifts are eight hours, on Thursday (9.30-5.30) and Saturday (7.15-15.15)
- We will consider applications for one or both shifts, so please apply even if you can only do one shift a week
- There will also be opportunities to work at once off events and functions
- Shifts start and finish at our offices in Mowbray (i.e. we will transport you to the stalls)
- The position starts immediately, and is ongoing
- Set up and dismantle stalls at weekend food markets
- Serve customers ice cream from a scoop counter (cones and bowls) and answer their questions about the product
- Learn about and understand ice cream, fruits and other ingredients

- Be genuinely interested in food and enjoy desserts
We are a new but growing business, and work opportunities within the company will be ongoing.
There is a basic salary of R200/shift. After your stall or shop has earned R2000 turnover, you will receive a R50 bonus for every additional R1000 earned, resulting in an estimated total salary of R200-R500/shift.
